Treshelle Edmond was born in San Bernardino, CA. She is hard of hearing and typically wears hearing aids in both ears. Her family moved to Birmingham, AL when she was a young girl with the hopes of Treshelle obtaining a better education. At around age 13 she moved back to Los Angeles, California where she attended John Burroughs Middle School. During her time there,Treshelle began to learn about her self esteem when she attended the Tyra Banks TZONE foundation camp in 2005. Read more... bullied and teased by other kids because she was deaf. Already from a young age, Treshelle experienced everything from Audism, Sexism, to Racism.
As she grew older she became stronger and discovered she has many talents and skills. This was evident as she went on to become an All Star and All American Cheerleader at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles. As a member of the All Star team, Treshelle cheered in the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. Treshelle's confidence soared as she auditioned for and obtained roles on two very popular television shows (House, M.D. and Glee). From that point on, she tried her hand at modeling and has modeled in several fashion shows with Deafinit Models in Los Angeles and in Las Vegas.
Treshelle has proved that she can contribute to society, her family, friends, and her fans. She regularly does community service with various organizations like the Foundation for Junior Blind and the clean up beach program in Zuma Beach. She has also received awards from the City of Los Angeles for her dedication to the DEAFestival-Los Angeles and her contributions to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
Treshelle was a senior at California State University, Northridge where she majored in Childhood & Adolescent Behaviors. She loves to help others and believes it is important for women from all walks of life to empower their self-love to be what they are meant to be. Treshelle left school to follow her dreams of becoming an actress, model, and ASL performer.
