Rick Irwin was born on April 4 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and raised in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Although he grew up in a house where TV and movies were limited, the acting bug bit him when he first saw Braveheart with his father. He quickly became interested in stage acting after falling in love with musicals like Sweeney Todd and Les Miserables. Determined to develop his acting skills, Irwin applied and was accepted into the Syracuse drama program, a university who's alumni include Aaron Sorkin, Frank Langella, Vanessa Williams, Taye Diggs, Vera Farmiga and Tom Everett Scott. Irwin soon relocated to Los Angeles where he quickly booked his first feature film, The Dead Hate the Living, a film where he dies not once, but twice on screen. Working continuously in theater, film, TV and commercials, Irwin has made appearances on shows such as The League and Scrubs. On the big screen, Irwin has worked with Orlando Bloom on The Good Doctor, Jesse Eisenberg on 30 Minutes or Less and James Gandolfini on Mr. Gandolfini's last completed film, Enough Said, also starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Irwin got his most recent break when Tommy Lee Jones cast him in The Homesman, starring Mr. Jones, Meryl Streep and Hilary Swank. The Homesman is a devastating story of early pioneers in the 1850s American West. Rick Irwin is married to actor Deborah Lynn Meier and has two young children.
