Composer, conductor, songwriter, violinist, arranger and publisher, educated at the Lille Conservatory and studied with A. W. Lilienthal. He was the assistant conductor for the Boston Opera Company, violinist with the Seattle Symphony, and violist with the San Francisco Symphony. He was the general music director at the Roxy Theatre in New York, and staff composer and conductor at the Radio City Music Hall in New York between 1932-1939, and conducted other symphony orchestras and for radio.
