Les Brandt was raised in the small country town of Amarillo, Texas. Was in choir from 7th grade to 11th grade as a 1st Tenor and had hopes of a singing career as a child. He began acting immediately after graduating high school and credits his beginning training to mentor Adam Roarke at The Film Actors Lab in Dallas, TX. Brandt continued training at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, NY and studied with Michelle Danner at Larry Moss/Edgemar Studio as well as The Groundlings, both in Los Angeles, CA. Read more... an internationally-recognized actor whose career has spanned two decades, and he also owns a custom leather clothing line, Brandt Skinz, incorporated in September 2002. Brandt has appeared in numerous movies throughout his career. He played opposite Maria Conchita Alonso in "Smoke," (2005) and played the eponymous title role in "John Bondage" (which Les Brandt won Best Actor/Excellence in Acting Award by International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts 2014) and "Andre Foster" (2014). Most recently he had a lead role in the epic fantasy film "Ninja Apolcalypse" (2014), "Untold" (2014), and the short film "Jaya" (2014). Brandt is filming two movies as of this update, "The Second Coming of Christ" (John the Apostle) and "David and Goliath" (Shammah), both scheduled to be released in 2015. Brandt's commercial work includes some of the most highly recognizable brands, advertising agencies and directors including Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Toyota, AT&T, Best Buy, IKEA and Miller Light. Additionally, he worked with Oscar winner John Mathieson (Gladiator), and director Daniel Kleinman on the international spot for Monster.com. His most recent commercials include print and multimedia campaigns for Can-Am and Dodge Ram. Brandt has appeared in many network prime time television series in a wide-range of roles including "Desperate Housewives," "Six Feet Under," "CSI: Miami," "NYPD: Blue," "Walker: Texas Ranger," "Just Shoot Me," and "The Nanny." Brandt debuted on daytime television with a three-year contract in 1995 on the New York-based NBC soap opera "Another World"," and has been recurring on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives," since 2013. An avid animal-lover, and owner of four cats, Brandt spends his free time supporting local rescue organizations. He is a believer in Taoism, a strict vegetarian, passionate about motorcycles and heavy-metal music. Takes physical fitness very seriously has been working-out 3 to 4 days a week every week, every month, every year for 28 years now.
