Lasse was born in Stockholm, Sweden on 19 August 1928. His mother was Sally Lönndahl, his father unknown. His breakthrough was 1949 with "Tangokavaljeren". In the 50s he became one of the most popular Swedish singers with songs like "Cindy Min Cindy", "Tulpaner Från Amsterdam", "Volare", "Piccolissima Serenata". In 1962 he became the first artist to top the new started hit chart "Svensktoppen", the song were "Midnattstango". Osmond Brothers recorded songs with Lasse in the mid 60s and Anni-Frid from "Abba" toured with him in the later 60s. Read more...
