Lala was born and raised in Iran to an Armenian family. Lala is the oldest of three siblings to Armen and Flora. Lala was lucky to have good parents, and because of that she had a great upbringing. Lala's father Armen, an educated man with Masters in Chemistry from Germany is a very open-minded and intellectual man that provided every opportunity for Lala to travel, live, and get her education in Europe and United States. Lala was also lucky to be born in an extended family of artists and Intellectuals. Both of Lala's grandfathers were famous writers and authors. Lala's other grandfather Andranik Sarian was also a famous author/novelist and (famous stage actor in Iran) with famous published books in Armenian Language. Lala first started her career in entertainment as a fashion model in Europe. She was the cover girl for some famous magazines. She was a runway/print/fashion model. Lala moved to United States where she earned her first B.S. degree in Computer Informations Systems. Then Lala moved to New York, where she signed up with a modeling agency. But soon after, she felt lonely living in NY. She moved to Los Angeles to be close to her family. Then she started first working in Information Technology divisions in a few companies including EMI Music/Capitol Records Hollywood. Lala started following her childhood dreams to become and actress, while working in Information Technology. She attended many acting schools including "Sanford Meisner School of Acting", "Harvey Lembeck Comedy Workshop", "In The Moment", "Brian Reese Acting Studio", "Expressions Unlimited", and "Improv Olympic West". Lala found out and was advised with many acting professionals that her niche is comedy. Everyone who knows Lala also knows that Lala is a natural comedian with perfect comedic timing. Lala doesn't even have to work to be funny. She is just funny, when she is herself. For that reason Lala completed 5th level of Improv at IO West, right after she completed level three of Sketch Comedy writing classes with John Hindman at IO West. Lala has had her share of pain and suffering of revolution and lived her childhood during Iran and Iraq war. For all these reasons, Lala has anti-war stands in United States and all over the world. She is also an activist in important matters that affected her personally like "women's rights issues, environment, wildlife, animals, and poverty." Lala later started her two years of stand-up comedy in various venues, Including The Comedy Store (Belly and Main-stage rooms), and Cougars and Kittens comedy.
