Jon Anderson first joined a small British band, called The Warriors, in the mid-1960s. Towards the end of the decade, Anderson and bass guitarist Chris Squire formed a progressive rock band called Yes. This band went on to have phenomenal success for 11 years. In 1980, Anderson left Yes due to lengthy quarrels over which direction the band should take in the music. For several years, Anderson worked on some collaborative albums with Greek synthesizer composer Vangelis, as well as some solo albums. Read more...
