Biography

Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
Connecticut-born Jean Dixon had an auspicious theatre debut: on a Parisian stage with Sarah Bernhardt while still a student at a French university. She most often appeared as the streetwise, smart-mouthed friend of the leading lady. Her most famous appearance would probably be as Molly in the classic screwball comedy My Man Godfrey (1936).
