James Stellos was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Christmas day. The oldest of five boys and son of a restaurateur, James began acting at the age of eleven playing the juvenile lead, in "The King and I" at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Beginning as a pre-teen he spent many seasons performing in summer stock. Classically trained at Carnegie-Mellon University, with a BFA in Drama with honors, he was recipient of the Drama department's Norman Appel Award.
