Jaclyn Bethany, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, made her screen debut in Tate Taylor's Get on Up. Jaclyn, alongside her father, is the founder of BKE Productions. Jaclyn made her New York acting debut in A Map of Virtue directed by 2013 Tony Winner Pam MacKinnon. Jaclyn has per- formed regionally at The Berkshire Theatre Festival, Powerhouse The- atre, and trained extensively in London at RADA, LAMDA, Guildhall, BADA and The National Theatre. She was a fellow at the Sydney Film Festival in 2011. Jaclyn is a graduate of Fordham University's theatre program. Read more... presented Off-Broadway in summer 2014. Jaclyn played Alma in Sum- mer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams, opposite James Alan McCune (Shameless). Jaclyn wrote, produced and stars in Olivia Martha Ilse with James Frain, Tammy Blanchard and Tonea Stewart. The short is cur- rently making the festival circuit, with screenings at Cannes and Ber- linale, Palm Springs Shortsfest, Crossroads Film Festival and Mykonos Biennale. The script, inspired by Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters, draws from Jaclyn's southern upbringing, as well her extensive knowledge of Chekhov. In 2015, Jaclyn will be seen in the feature films Trumbo along- side Bryan Cranston and Diane Lane, I Saw The Light starring Tom Hiddleston, The Big Short, Worry Dolls and a supporting role in Miles with Molly Shannon and Paul Reiser, which she also associate produced. Jaclyn's next two shorts "Polly Fillmore" and "Woods" are currently in development with BKE Productions to shoot in 2015. The script for "Woods" was selected for the pitch fest at Fest: New Directors/New Films in Portugal in June 2015. In addition, Jaclyn is currently adapting Miss Julie for the stage.
