Isabel Dresden was born in Tustin, the third of four children, to parents Ed and Janeen of Corona, California. She had her first taste of acting at the tender age of 5, when she was discovered dancing onstage and interacting with the band at an auto show after straying from her parents' side. From that moment onward, Dresden embraced every opportunity to insinuate herself onto the stage. As Santa Lucia in a grammar school play, she took not setting the stage afire by her crown of burning candles, as a green light to move forward. Dresden hungrily devoured film after film, often re-watching her favorites to study the dramatic genius of Bette Davis and Liz Taylor(to whom she bore an uncanny resemblance in her youth) and the brilliant timing of Katherine Hepburn and Joan Crawford. She even went so far as to stay home sick from school to further her character studies. At 16 Dresden was flown to NY to compete as a finalist for the face of Cover Girl & YM magazine. From then on her love of fashion continued to blossom, at one point leading to a stint as a personal stylist. She has been a model, waitress, barista and assistant manager for Starbucks at various points on her journey, and admits to loving the odd jobs that build character. Her favorite on-screen moments have been period pieces and dramas where she can throw a fit, and conversely bright moments in time that uplift the soul.
