Screenwriter, songwriter ("Hi-Lili, Hi-Lo"), composer, screenwriter and author, educated at Barnard College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She headed the Theatre Guild press department in 1937-1938. Joining ASCAP in 1953, her chief musical collaborators included Jay Livingston, Bronislaw Kaper, and Bernard Green.
