Gary was born into a working class family in West Dublin in the early nineties, a time when the Celtic tiger boom was in full affect. He is the middle child to Caroline and Eugene Nolan. His father is a factory worker and his mother is full-time carer to his disabled elder sister Rebecca. Throughout his youth Gary never really displayed much interest in the dramatic arts. He was always more into sports and music. Read more... he opted to give acting a try. He signed with a local kid's agent having no experience and mere weeks later managed to land himself a recurring role on Irish soap Fair City. Gary worked full-time hours as he tried to finish high school and often found the two difficult to juggle, although he graduated from Coláiste Chillian with a good Leaving Certificate score under his belt. He undertook a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Modern Music in the Brighton Institute of Modern Music in Dublin, majoring in Songwriting in 2011. He made his film debut in August 2012, landing a part in the feature "The Food Guide To Love." Gary has also done voice over work in his native Gaelic for Irish television channel TG4, overdubbing children's cartoons such as Ben10 into Gaelic.
