David Fisher was already a very experienced television writer by the time he came to work on "Doctor Who." Series to which he had contributed included "Orlando" (1967), "Dixon of Dock Green," (1969), "The Troubleshooters" (1969-71), "Sutherland's Law" (1973) and "General Hospital" (1977). Following "Doctor Who," for which he wrote four stories, he contributed some scripts to "Hammer House of Horror" (1980). He has in more recent years been collaborating with Anthony Read on a number of historical books dealing with subjects including World War Two espionage, the Nazi persecution of the Jews and the Nazi/Soviet pact of the early 1940s.
