Dana Koops was born in Los Angeles, CA to Alexander and Shaelyn Koops, both of whom grew up on several continents. Growing up with a music professor father and English teacher mother, Dana quickly developed into an avid reader, writer, musician, athlete and all around adventure seeker. The acting bug bit Dana when she stepped onto the stage as a toddler in an Azusa Pacific University opera production of "Suor Angelica" (Puccini). After having dabbled in theatre for several years, Dana decided to study the art of acting. Read more... and also is coached by Gary Spatz. She was given her first film role as the principal character Kid in the short "Corporate Lemonade" (2014) soon after her studies began and has been enjoying every audition and role thereafter. Dana's love of story and sense of adventure (fostered by living in Latvia for a brief time and exploring several other countries) encourages Dana in her desire to develop into a versatile actress. In her element when on set, Dana also enjoys rock climbing, gymnastics, viola, hiking, and swimming.
