Athan Hilaki (Athan Cheilakis)
Athan Hilaki is best known as the frontman and the founder of the New York-based rock band Trapped In Static as well as one of the first members of the Greek indie pop band GAD. Hilaki, was born in Athens, Greece and moved to New York in January 2008. He started playing the keyboards at the age of 14 and guitar at the age of 16. He has collaborated (as a producer/sound engineer) and performed with many well-known musicians in Greece and the United States and has contributed in many albums and collections as guitarist, bassist, producer and sound engineer. In 2010 he participated in the auditions for The X Factor 3 (Greece) that took place in New York. Although he qualified to the next round, professional commitments in the United States, prevented him from traveling to Greece.
