Anne G. Sterling
Anne G. Sterling (married name, Anne G. Bergman) was a Polish born actress and dancer, who performed in Europe and the United States. She acted in Yiddish movies and stage shows, and later in motion pictures in Hollywood, California. Noted for her strikingly beautiful looks, former heavyweight boxing contender Herman Weiner dubbed her, " The Polish Ava Gardner." While living in California, she met movie stars Don Ameche, Eddie Cantor, Mickey Rooney, and Sabu. Bergman usually played a Gypsy girl in such horror films as The Wolfman, Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman, and House of Frankenstein. Hyman "Hank" Bergman (Awarded the Silver Star Medal). After moving to Miami Beach, Florida in the 1950s,she worked as an extra in the Jerry Lewis film, The Bellboy. Later, she managed the career of her only child, her son, kick-boxer/actor 'Sherman "Big Train' Bergman'.
