Aland Brifkani was born in northern Iraq.During the Gulf War; his 3 brothers and mother fled to the Turkish border and after some years immigrated to Canada. Aland loved sports early on in his life, but also loved movies. Aland learned English through television and realized how much acting meant to him early on. He grew up in Ottawa, Canada where he spent most of his years playing soccer and attending school. He had become really passionate about soccer and decided to train in Vancouver with a world class coach . After some years in University, Aland decided to play in Europe. Read more... Attending trials in Holland and receiving great reviews. He decided to try out in Germany where it would have been easier for Canadian players. Being fortunate and prepared, Aland had played with the highest level in the German football league, The Bundisliga. However, due to a knee injury, it had made Aland really think about what he truly loved. Aland returned to Canada and after some months of physiotherapy and getting back into shape, followed his heart and landed in Los Angeles, California where he graduated from Theater of Arts. After Graduation Aland was in many television shows ranging from realty such as "Operation Repo"(2010) with his older brother, to the new hit show "Matador"(2014) a spy thriller about an under cover agent turned pro soccer player.
